SWMBO and I recently completed the purchase of a large 5th wheel, so that obviously required some new cooking gear. We already have a MMBGE to go with, and have a 28” Blackstone griddle on order. Problem is neither of those are great for pizza, and the WFO is not portable so . . . . . .

Hoping to do a couple inaugural pies on Sunday, but the weather is only supposed to top out at 28 F.

Well, the good news is that you only need to be out there for about 90 seconds!

Congrats on the major life change style with the 5th wheel.  Independent of all the forum related cooking gear issues, great on you both for making it happen.
    Enjoy the unbounded freedom.

Lol, thanks. Here is a photo of the beast:

It is currently in Charleston, SC - we are headed down the end of March to go pick it up. Don’t feel like towing it to New England in the middle of the winter.

Currently have a 2019 F-450 Limited with 25,xxx miles on it. We have a 2022 F-450 King Ranch on order that is currently scheduled to be built the week of 14MAR.

Certainly there are some National and State Parks that we won’t be able to get in to, but there are ways to overcome that.

  • Awesome thread, thanks for sharing!

BTW you should park that in @TEXASBGE2018 driveway when you are not using it, I am sure he would appreciate that.

So it was too cold for the propane regulator to operate properly, so I ended loading up some lump and peach wood chunks.

Used some store bought crust and laid down some smoked Gouda and Parmigiana Reggiano, spooned on the sauce, followed by some pepperoni, hot Italian sausage, black olives, and fresh mozzarella.

Not a fan of the crust, but the pizza was very tasty overall.

Didn’t want to wait for it to get any hotter:

Very happy with the Ooni overall, looking forward to trying out the propane burner in warmer weather.

We got turned off on Class A rigs because of the small kitchen. We both love to cook and this has a large enough kitchen for us both to be working:

Kitchen is shown starting at about 7:55. Plus this is a toy hauler so it will carry the Harley we are purchasing soon.

Jayco Seneca is my dream setup.  Would allow me to also haul a 4 horse trailer.  You want to see a small kitchen in a big trailer, look up living quarters horse trailers.

Yup, I spent 20 years back in the engine room pushing several of this nation’s submarines through the world’s oceans.

We are trying to decide between a Tri-Glide and an Ultra Limited. Sold my 2011 Heritage back in 2013 after some young girl doing her lipstick forced me off the road and almost in to a guard rail.

Thank you sir. I only did four years of floating around on a big target ;)

The trikes scare me, have since the Honda ATC day’s in the ‘70’s.

I was at an HD dealership one day and they were doing demos that day. I was talking with the corporate guy driving the semi and a guy flipped a trike in the parking lot right behind us. Thank goodness he was ok.

@CTMike - That is the rivalry right there.
But in the end game we were and still are all on the same team.  I have often said in mixed service settings two things; We all took an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic; and in the defense of this nation there is no prize for second place.
Apologize for the hi-jack but that pic...

It is a very nice rig, basically designed for couples. We are toying with the idea of going full-time in a couple years when I retire.
