Anybody have one  ?? Our new kitchen will have microwave lower in island.  Our designer added a "microwave drawer" in the plans, but I am pushing back bc its just a damn microwave and this thing costs over 1k.

Not sure I even understand what you’re talking about here. Would this be a drawer that would completely hide the microwave away when it’s not in use?

We only had one oven plus a microwave built-in above it. The microwave bit the dust. We cook a lot and discuss for a while what to replace it with. Decided on this combo oven/broiler/microwave.

Interesting, I didn't know such things existed.  Can you set it to, say, cook some protein low and slow via microwave, and then switch to broil for browning?
Wouldn't be buying myself; I'm not loaded but give me a couple hours...

Got it, thanks.  I agree with your instincts here to push back on this.  The pros to me just don’t justify the expense.

Just moved into our new house.  The kitchen has double oven (WiFi), and the microwave drawer in the Butlers Pantry.  We love it!  It does cook a lot faster than our old 1100 watt model, but also has a LOT of setting choices which work great and easy to use. It’s easy to keep clean also.  Definitely worth the $$$. You only live once.

thanks yall - honestly I hate all the microwave options and I have never thought to myself "man I wish this cooked faster" . . so for me Im starting to realize its just

    1) does a Drawer Microwave really look that much cooler ??

    2) That much easeir to clean / load / use ??

How often do you use your current microwave?  We are not big microwave people so when we built our house we just put it in the pantry.

A drawer refrigerator for drinks that matches the drawer microwave is the cats meow.  You will always look longing and the spot where the microwave could have been if you do not do it.  Also, add an ice maker.

Is it a "pain in the ass" to refill your bidet with evian?

Oh that’s right, that’s what the hired help is for.  Kind of gives new meaning to the word “peons”
