I have the Breville long slot 4 slice smart toaster.  Works well.  Its only 3 or 4 years old now and we are not a toast every morning family so long term/heavy use durability is still uncertain.

I have a toaster (two slices) oven and it is a true hacker.  Hamilton-Beach and been rolling for well better than 5 years.  Given your focused use you may want to consider two 2 slice over-built models mentioned above.

Well wound up getting a Breville Toaster Oven. Hopefully it will last till the kids are in college 7 years from now.

You'll love it.  Its so precise I have to adjust the Darkness control for different brands of sourdough bread; and its great for nachos too.

We have had a Wolf for almost ten years and are a toast family it has worked flawlessly.  Pricy but in my judgement well worth it.

We have one and love it. Toasts so even and I like the smart controls. Only time we use the real oven is when something doesn’t fit in the Breville.

I would definitely go with a SMEG.  It fits all requirements.
