Big bowl game day for our family.    Had the egg sparked up at 5:00.  Butt went on at 5:55.  

Yes, that’s a cold beer open at 5:00, God hates a coward.

That cook time calculator on the Meater is pretty useless with a big hunk of meat that should go through a stall.  I’m guessing you’ve witnessed the same.  It’s only reliable within say an hour or two of the finish.

@JohnInCarolina.   Fully agree.   I don’t really bother to look at it much until it gets closer to my estimated finish time.
