Saw them with a few other eggers last time I was in the Atlanta area at some amphitheater. Great show. Cheap trick also played and they sucked.

I totally agree

Only saw them once live, but have listened to their tunes a fair bit and even covered some in a band I was in. Sad day.

Hopefully he gets all the Tush he can handle in heaven.

He was badder than Shaft, Superfly, James Bond, and Kung Fu all put together

Being from Houston I saw those guys routinely both at shows and around town. Dusty was a super guy, just a regular fella. Here is a pic of Billy I took when I ran into him at a restaurant not that long ago

I bought ZZ's first Greatest Hits, on vinyl, just to get La Grange, one of my favorite dancing songs back then. I played that song in many bands, but about the time I left Country and played in rock bands, was the time I could afford a synth or two, MTV and playboy bunnies arrived, and Eliminator hit. Suddenly I could play an integral part of the tune, albeit boring quarter-notes or drone tones.
I had forgotten about the tune TV Dinners, and called up the video tonight. What struck me is how, way back then, they predicted some future things, but not entirely accurately. The main character arrives at home, has a huge entertainment "home theater", but with a bunch of small monitors instead of one big one; huge "control cockpit" at his main chair, rather than a cellphone or tablet.
And, something I completely missed back in the '80s: he microwaved an aluminum-trayed, foil-topped "tv dinner" in a microwave, something we still can't do.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-6mI708yWc
