My garden is producing tons of cucumbers and I was thinking of pickling a few jars for fun, but have never done it. Any good beginner references or tips?

A hot pepper, a spoonful of dill seed, one hot pepper like a cayenne, and a clove of garlic plus basic salt vinegar brine gives you kosher dills.

RT for fermented. Once they are where you like them, then you can refrigerate to slow the process.
