I don't have any specific recipe to offer. I simple take a stick of partially softened butter and mix in granulated garlic and a little beef "Better than bullion". I place the softened butter on plastic wrap and roll in to a log, twisting the ends. I place it in the refrigerator to firm up. I cut a medallion and place on the steak after cooking.
You can add anything you like to the softened butter before rolling. -
I like fresh herbs for beef. For pork I do half butter, half butter apple butter with some cinnamon and clove.

chop a bit of garlic, fresh rosemary, fresh thyme mix with a few sticks of softened salted butter...roll it into a log in wax paper and there it is, Morris Day and the Thyme. What thyme is it? OH e Oh e OhThe problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.

Almost doesn't matter what you mix in with butter. It's butter. The only controversial thing I would suggest is adding some MSG. Also, bigger impact than anything else, other than salt, that you would normally add.

Holy ba-ge-bus whipped this up and drizzled it on some ribeyes tonight after a reverse sear. Had a small side for some steamed broccoli and to top as needed. Added extra horse radish to finish off a jar and of course doubles the garlic, took a note from Nola and added a pinch of MSG. Will for sure make this again it was a nice change.Florida Grillin Girl said:I made this recipe and we did a taste test between this and homemade chimicurri that I made, the fam preferred this with steak:

I grew a ton of cilantro at home over the winter (cilantro likes winter temperatures in Virginia) and made a cilantro lime butter. Its good on any protein.

It would go well on grilled corn also.dwredmond said:I grew a ton of cilantro at home over the winter (cilantro likes winter temperatures in Virginia) and made a cilantro lime butter. Its good on any protein. -
One time, believe it or not, we couldn't find normal butter at the shop. So we were FORCED to buy a maple garlic butter. Oh my sweet goodness ... best thing I've been ever forced to do.Napoleon Prestige Pro 665, XL BGE, Lots of time for BBQ!
