I don’t do a second grind myself. I (personally) find the texture becomes too mushy

Make a patty after the first grind and fry it up in a cast iron pan on the stove top. Doesn’t need to be a full size burger.

If you like the grind, stop there.

A second grind with the same larger die though should be enough if you want it finer.

Not all grinders are the same. Make sure you know that when ordering new plates😳

I have thought about mixing my hamburger meat like this.  Did it taste better than store bought hamburger?

@QDude I’ve ground a lot of chuck roast into burger. It is definitely a lot better than store bought.

It was a little lean. Will make for good tacos, sloppy Joe's, chili meat........next time will add more fat.
I did brown some up with bacon grease for some sloppy Joe's and it was tasty

@MasterC - your meat grinder post prompted me to purchase a grinder.
    I made 2 ounce slider's tonight from a chuck roast. I did a two grind method. 1st grind - 3/8 inch, 2nd grind 3/16 inch.

These burgers were vastly superior to using store bought ground chuck. I've always heard that the single thing you can do to improve your burger game, is to grind your own meat, I'm a total believer in this now.

Thanks for posting about the grinder.
