A good chunk of my late teens and early twenties was spent listening to his "music" in my VW Jetta with an expensive sound system in it.  Now I would never let my kids listen to this crap!

I do feel sorry for his 15 kids. I'm not sure how much he was involved in their lives prior but I don't wish that on any kid.

I once convinced an exceedingly drunk girl on Bourbon St that I was the police whistle player on his recording of Party Up (Y’all gone make me lose my mind).  She didn’t believe me, but when the bar played the song, she heard the whistle and was suddenly convinced that I was telling the truth. 

It was the wildest, most unnecessary whopper of a lie I’d ever told. But, she bought it, and told her friends.  They clearly knew I was messing with her.  

My buddies and I laughed about that for a long time. Any time I hear DMX, that story pops in my head.
