Wild Turkey two ways

My 15 year old harvested his first wild turkey this past Saturday. We had some of it for lunch today. Some pieces were battered and fried and the two tenderloin pieces were grilled on the mini. All were soaked in pickle juice overnight. I still have the two large breast pieces. If anyone has a good recipe for those I’d love to hear it.

I didn’t have any 101 on hand or it would have been threesome.

@shtgunal3 Awesome! Congrats on your boy taking his first tom/jake (cant tell from picture). Eagerly awaiting the season to open here in KS. We are new land owners and am hoping to take one off of our own land for the first time. Its been at least 10 years since I've gone out for turkey.

I love Turkey hunting but don't do it often enough so I don't have any great recipes.    Regarding the libation aspect, I have heard really great things about this yet have never manned up enough to spend $50 on a WT product.

Rare breed is delicious. Hard to say if it’s worth the price to justify to you though. Generally speaking, this is on the lower end price wise of most barrel proof offerings. If you like wild turkey 101, you’d probably really like this.

In Kentucky, we call it the kicking’ Chicken. Get the 8 year year old.

Beautiful bird, congrats on the harvest.
