Bet that did not suck!
I drink cheap beer so I can afford good bourbon.

Are those meater+ boxes stuck to the egg? How are they mounted?
Btw, cool looking cook and nice video.Don't tell your problems to people. 80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.

What's all that stuff attched to your egg?

Thanks. I went to home depot and bought some wider "L" brackets and bolted them to existing bolts on the hinged metal band. Testing before powder coating. I now want them about 2 inch longer. The boxes on the "L" brackets are wireless food probe transmitters, Meater +, meat probes. They are magnetic based bottoms which stick to the brackets. The other two are magnetic base lights. Which by the way for $18 for the pair on amazon are just effin amaizing.

I love those lights and setup!
How well do those meater thermometers work? I’m really bad about overcooking things as my wife constantly reminds me. I’m looking for something to help me catch temps earlier! -
@jdMyers Very nice, thanks for sharing.

It probably has been equal 1 and 2 to the mk4 or any thermapen thermometer. Photos attached. Its wireless to the base unit which is also the charger, and magnetic. Stays charged. App driven, cloud based, blue toothed to phine. If phone stays within range its avail anywhere including kroger. If not and you leave it picks up where you left off. Timers, meat choices. Reads ambient temp inside grill or oven and food temp. Gives eta of done and resting. Adjusts for stall in brisket. Doesnt make sense and is spot on. Can run multipe probes and different cooks simultaneously.

Great cook and creativity right there. Congrats across the board.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I did a write up on the lights. Tested 6 different types. The alien heads are the cleanest and most accurate without spot light affect. The silver ones look the best. I predicted BGE would come out with one after I did the write up. They did. Alien head. Green and $40 for one. These come in a pair.
These are spot lights not that great.
