Sunday night filet roast

Found a deal on filet at the store 3 weeks ago so I grabbed it and let it sit in the back of the fridge until this morning. So dinner was a cab, salad, filet, bread, potatos, snap peas and a side of homemade chimichurri because filet is so bland to me.

Just as I was going to start eating, I looked at the platter. It looked so pretty I needed another picture.  (Note in the background the chicken thighs which were waiting to go on, and 3 jars of peach preserves for 3 pork butts to be cooked later in the week. )

Not a bad meal at all.

Great meal and a great wine. Chateau Montelena is a beautiful place to visit. Even if you do have to fight off the tourists!

A great cook, from one of the best the forum has to offer. Great score on the vino my friend. You need to cook that meal when Robin and I visit. The wine too.

Great post as always, thank you for sharing.
