That humming sound you hear is the Framers of our Constitution.
    Spinning in their graves.

I don't know what to think anymore, guys.

If undocumented immigrants are "freeloaders" mooching off the system, why are ICE agents raiding workplaces to find them?

They started spinning when this all began in 2016.

Will be interesting to see what happens to the GOP. Does the inevitable internecine warfare result in the "oldsters" just succumbing to the Trump/QAnon cultists or does the old guard force them out and the cultists do create the "Patriot Party" they've talked about?

I would expect seven republican senators to face primary opponents.
How did Joe Manchin of West Virginia vote?
Never mind, I looked it up.

I think the only Republican Senator of the seven who is likely to run again is Murkowski.  The rest are retiring or were just re-elected, and are of the age that they're likely serving their last term.  I could be wrong.

Murkowski appears to be fairly well insulated in AK, given their ranked-choice voting system.

Manchin is probably the only real profile in courage here.

  • I checked , the next day Manchin hitting up Biden to relax natural gas fracking rules. Richard Burr NC and Pat Toomey of Pen are the only ones who said that they aren’t running again. Susan Collins just got re-elected. Lisa Murkowski is going to have to deal with Biden’s ban on new offshore drilling and drilling on federal land. Bill Cassidy is the real dead man walking, he has all of Murkowski’s problems plus representing a State that voted for Cheeto by a large margin. Ben Sasse has already been censored by his own party. Romney doesn’t really care but Botch can give a better idea of his popularity.

Didn't he just get re-elected?  Somehow I think in six years from now this vote won't be a huge issue for him.  Were he up for re-election in two years I might agree with your assessment, but ... he's not.

  • We’ll see. He will have to find some bacon for Louisiana and some way to work with his own party in the meantime.

According to the news this morning, the utard rep. party is "discussing" censuring Romney; kinda surprised me.

They wouldn't be the first state GOP party to censure those that haven't signed the Trump/QAnon blood oath.

Doubtful; he's a "Golden Boy" amongst the mormons, and they aren't as fond of trump as the evangelicals are.  In fact, two weeks before the '16 election (when I voted by mail), trump and a local third-party candidate (McMuffin or something like that) were running neck-n-neck, Hillary far behind both.
EDIT:  Recall that Romney was the Guv'nor of Massachusetts before this, and introduced the evil socialist precursor of Obamacare to that state (I think it's still in place, and quite popular with Massachusetts folks).  Most republicans couldn't move back to this state and slip right into a Senator's office with that track record, but Mittens did.

To be accused by a cousin of "joining the devils army"  and to have "lost the respect of Lou Dobbs"- oouch, that's gotta sting. :)

Saw that.  Reminds me of a quote I saw recently.

Sometimes you need to meet people where they are.  And sometimes... you need to leave them there.
