Egg warranty question

My egg has recently started burning through my charcoal fast.  Low and slow cooks are lucky if my charcoal doesn’t burn out.  I started looking into it to see if there were some gaps or issues or heat leaking out.  Found a couple spots and went to work on tightening things up, etc.   

in my discovery, I found a couple spots where the dome has cracked or started chipping.   Before I shell out $200 for a new dome, would this be covered under warranty?  

Any suggestions or am I out of luck?

I’d have to think a cracked dome is covered under warranty, yes.  At minimum, it won’t hurt to ask your dealer.

A dome crack is somewhat rare but not unheard of.  Dealer should take care of you.  If not, find another dealer.  Be prepared for a long wait for a replacement. It seems the supply chain is slow lately.

They ended up replacing it.  I was fully prepared to buy a new dome but once again BGE pulls through.

That was fast!   Glad it all worked out.  I’ve only had great experiences with BGE Warranty.
