Does this fit on a large? Looks like a great rig for smash burgers.

No. The outer dimension from handle to handle is 19.5 inches. The internal diameter of a large is 18.25 inches.

The 12” pan fits and is a lot less expensive.

It does not fit on the large. However it is a great pan to have. We use it for pizza burgers and large Mexican cornbreads. I absolutely love mine.

I bought a 15” skillet and cut the handle off to use in my large.

This fits a large nicely and is versatile. Nothing my other skillets can’t handle but it’s nice to have additional shapes of iron.
