Wide Skewers for Kebabs
Kroger
Posts: 22
Was thinking of getting these from Amazon. I have the large, so these are too long to fit inside the egg. Was thinking I can lay them across the gasket and then be able to close the lid over them. Do you think the heat conducted from the flat skewers could harm the gasket?

Thanks, may give them a try. Price is dirt cheap and OXO makes great products.

I don’t think they would hurt your gasket. If they do, get a Rutland gasket and never worry about it again.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Those wire thingies ain't so great.
@Kroger I like the flat skewers I have, similar to the ones in the link you posted. No worries about damaging the gasket.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
I picked up some at the local hardware store, about $5 for a set of four. Approx 1/2” wide but bent 90 degrees so the skewer is a v shape along the length of it. They’re maybe 12-18” long, simple, cheap and the v shape keeps food from rotating.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER
