New-style hinge setup for a large

Alright, just the new-style hinges for my large.
old ones were gettin beyond adjustment. Is there a good set of instructions/video to follow for installing these new ones? Anything I should know? Any tips?

pretty straight forward from the instructions(pretty much just pictures. put everything together loose and tighten last. only thing i saw missing from the directions was the spring orientation, if the hook faces up, it falls off

I hate the trend to no written instructions.  It's part of globalism I guess. Sometimes it is hard to follow the pictures.  Plus I am old and old fashioned.

lay everything out on the table like this, everything finger tight, then put it on the base and tighten the lower bolts then put the dome on and tighten those. once you lay it out like the directions it goes quick and simple

Ok I just mounted my new hindge, tightened everything Up with the spacers and the lid won’t open all the way. What’s going on here? The lid ring gets stuck on the bottom ring hinge tab.

Looks like the hinge brackets might be upside down. Look at picture on sheet.

Ah that’s better! Hahahaha!

Slotted holes always go on the top band. It’s a good practice to tighten top and bottom components together, but always lead with the bottom as the top has all the adjustment due to the slots.

Be mindful if your dome/thermometer alignment.

All good now. Man that new hinge sure feels better than the old rig I had on there before.
