Negative. You'll still want to rotate the ribs between the levels to keep them cooking even~ John - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

From a purely vertical minimum clearance, all you need is to ensure adequate air-flow around the racks. Eye-ball accuracy will suffice and given varying thicknesses of rib racks, today's answer will not be the same the next time. "lousubcap" - how would you rotate the following rib set up - rotate by rack (1-2-3) or by rib rack (A,B,C,D,E,F)
1. a-b
2. c-d
3. e-f

I don't have your rig but I would go with the following:
I would rotate the racks (1,2,3) and also turn front to back if you want to really get into it (otherwise put the meatier end to the back-hotter back there) and be mindful that there are thermal gradients in your BGE. The closer to the dome the more reflective heat you will get. The middle rack will get the least heat. So, watch the way the cook is tending and adjust to adapt to the location of the fire. I will tag @ColtsFan here as he likely will have a better perspective.
No matter what you do, each rack will cook at its own pace and likely declare victory (toothpick test for the win) independent of the others. You can foil and hold as the others should be along shortly. FWIW- and as long as the toothpick declares victory you will enjoy quite a feast.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! @mr toad think carousel. Top to bottom, middle to top, bottom to middle. Like @lousubcap said give them a 180* turn. I usually do that process twice when I do a lot or ribs. Works for....doesn’t mean it's the correct way 😁~ John - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger
