    Not to lend any seriousness to this thread but I have tried to put the phrase one billion into context.  I landed here:
    If at the time you were born you count count in one second intervals you would cross the 1 billion second threshold at the 31.67 year mark.  This includes leap years.  So most of us are on the planet for two and a half billion seconds.  
    Never mind the trillion year comparison.  FWIW-
    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

    The sad part is the bottom 40% of all americans will never hear this on Faux News, and even if provided undeniable evidence, they won't consider it as it goes against their "religion".  
    We may be doomed.  
     
    (as an aside, mcconnell has stated, on live TV, three times to my knowledge, that "we'll have to highly curtail social security, medicare, and medicaid" to pay for the tax cuts to the top 1%.  
    These clips never made it to Faux news, to my knowledge.

    Not to distract from central message, the wordsmithing is accurate.  USD being implied, so "billions" being plural is correct.  Money has many forms, M0 thru M3 at a minimum, having some combination used in the shenanigans, "monies" is a suitable descriptive.
    Central point to consider remains unaccountable $500 Billion.
