    Ok, so I just looked at the kick ash can.  It seems like a neat device.  

    Does anyone know if the temp of the bottom of the egg significantly changes when using the kick ash can vs the default plate from BGE?  Just wondering if this would change enough to be concerned about the need for a stone to sit the nest on.
