XL BBQ Skewers

I am looking for long skewers to lay across  my XL BGE, to cook kebabs without the grate.  I need skewers at least 28-30 inches long - any ideas where I could find these?

    You can make your own with 1/4" steel from HD. The one below the tape is 24” long, but was cut from a 48” long piece. The one above the tape is one of my tandoor skewers, from nishienterprises.com. It’s 39” long. 


    Also, @The Cen-Tex Smoker and others have posted before re: using an adjustable rig  with the skewer tips laying on a spacer bar that lays sideways. You can use shorter skewers with that kind of setup.  Maybe they will chime in with a pic.
