Free XL "Squat" Dome To A Good Home {cracked base}

Evening all,
My XL base cracked so I had it warrantied. Decided to get a new dome and hinge assembly as well. So, I have a used cracked base and a used dome which isn't cracked. I also have the old hinge assembly.
I would think JB weld would work to reseal the base and if it's used for low and slow for the rest of its life it will live for many more years. If interested, PM me please.
I'm located in Cumming, GA.

The Dude: This is a very complicated case, Maude. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's. And, uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Luckily I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, limber.
Walter Sobchak: Nihilists! *uck me. I mean, say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.

Love the flatter dome XL! I had one for years and I just think it’s cool because it’s unique.

I used the older style dome for many years. I thought it worked better than newer style for raised grilling such as chicken parts. My imagination, who knows?cookingdude555 said:Love the flatter dome XL! I had one for years and I just think it’s cool because it’s unique.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
I thought the same for pizza. Before my blackstone oven, the flat domed XL was the best pizza maker. I would use my large and xl platesetters in a tier with a large stone on top (both legs down). The pie was right under the dome but with room for air to get around it. Had a really good 50/50 heat balance to cook both sides of the pie which is so elusive on BGE cooks. That flat dome worked so well for it.Photo Egg said:
