Fire Ring cracked===in 2 places

Did 2 burnouts...very hot---assuming that cracked it...split in almost an even 1/2---vertically. Fits together perfectly---am heating it up for ribs...any thoughts on effectof this crack until I buy a new one?

    It’s fine, get the new one (warranty?) and keep it in the box until the cracked one isn’t stable anymore. I’ve been running my egg with a cracked fire box for quite awhile, new one still in a box in my garage.

    If you bought it from a dealer all the ceramics have a lifetime warranty other than the conveggtor/platersetter which has 3 years

    your firebox is fine to use if it all fits together. My last one was in 3 pcs for a year before I got around to ordering a new one under warranty.
