OT - Did you get your Economic Impact Payment? - OT

Today I got an Official Mail letter from the IRS.  Signed by someone with a very distinctive signature, with at least one arm-breaking pat-myself-on-the-back in the verbiage.  Said I was receiving a EIP payment (they're no longer using the "Economic Stimulus" moniker), and the statement was dated 15 April.    I checked my bank accounts, and sure enough there was a deposit on the 15th.  
 
This surprised me.  I read thru the guidelines of who would receive the check a few weeks ago, and I make made too much last year to qualify; and yet, I got just over half the $1,200 amount.  Wrote a check for the amount to one of the local food banks, to be mailed off tomorrow.  
 
Anyone else get a "surprise"?

I did. Should have been adjusted or non-existent based on my (and wife’s) 2019 return. They went off of 2018 because we had not filed yet. I donated a large portion as well

@Botch, good on you for the donation.  I'm curious if your letter was sent with the postage paid or was Privilege Franking used?

Negative. But I'm proud to say I didn't lay off or reduce pay of a single one of my 42 employees.
