my BGE dealer has Holy Voodoo rub and might scoop some next time I go to refill the propane tank. Described as cajun . . curious if anyone here has tried it. If so, what is it good on ??

Yes and I like it. I’ve used it on chicken and vegetables. I suck at describing flavor profiles but I like it a lot. My wife won’t eat anything spicy so I don’t use it on her food. It’s not hot by no means but spicier than she likes.

It’s probably my favorite of all his rubs. That or honey hog. Those 2 are certainly the most interesting of the bunch.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Yep I was out of honey hog and ordered the holy voo doo to try while I was reordering honey hog.

It’s like a milder version of Dizzy Pig Swamp
Venom if you have ever had that. It’s not exactly but that will get you pretty close. Or like if you have ever had Zapps Cajun chips...that’s the General profile.

We have had to restock it once or twice already. Gets great feedback. Haven’t sampled it yet personally.

Thanks everyone - I’ll rush out tmrw & get a shaker. I enjoyed swamp venom, and love Zapps Cajun . . So this seems urgent.Columbus, OH

Yes, it’s very good. I enjoy it the most on chicken wings. Has some small jalapeño flakes in it. Wouldn’t consider it ‘hot’, but more of a ‘medium’ heat flavor.
-
YES it does remind me of Zappa Cajun chips and I love those. I can’t get them where I live and even if I could I’m on a keto diet right now. But the flavor is close. Good call on that.

Its really good on a lot of things. My wife and I’s favorite are chicken and popcorn. More of a sweet with jalapeño bite but agree with Cen-Tex as a favorite of Matt’s rubs. Dizzy Pig ghost is hotter and has a different heat but then again it is two different peppers.

Had it on some skillet taters I made for breakfast tacos this morning. That stuff is really good. Definite has the Zapps craw-taters chips vibe to it.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Love the voodoo. I don’t salt my chicken when I use it as it seems to have enough already in the rub.Plainfield, IL

I am really into Meat Church. Love Holy Cow, Honey Hog, and Deez Nuts! I just recently got some of the HV. Now I’m anxious to try it out.

I ran some on chicken last night and dang it was salty. I will try it again on something but I may have to tap.
