Article about these folks was in my newsfeed this morning..... https://www.sparkgrills.com/
Their design is apparently the first charcoal grill with the ability to set and maintain stable temps.

That seems like it will appeal to a fair number of folks - particularly those who have been holding onto their gas grills and reluctant to make the jump to charcoal. And the business model of being the fuel source could be a winner.

Charcoal System? Anything being touted as a “system” is a scam. Weight loss system, real estate investment system...

Cool idea. Shape of a PK. Integrated fan, different flavor bricks. It’ll sell, probably take from the pellet crowd maybe.

meh .. intersting concept tho. I support any advancements into cooking more over charcoal. I retract my meh.

it is essentially a briquette in their thin waffle shape. I see it as a big fail. It would also be easy to knock off. Just press briquette "stuff" into that shape. Binders, starch, some charcoal dust, etc. It would only be worth it if they sell a bunch, which I do not see happening. Nobody who grills will want to have to FIND this special charcoal or pre-order it. At least that is my thought.XL BGE and Kamado Joe Jr.
