I didn't have have any smoked brisket so used a more than generous amount of pulled pork & used less brown sugar, pretty dang good for who it was for!  =)

Franklin beans are great. I just go with about 1/2 the salt

Jack Stack’s beans are the best I ever had.  My rep from KC brought me and the crew a quart of them when he made a sales call. The real secret was they cooked pork butts over the trays of beans in the smokers, so all the drippings ended up in the beans.

I picked up a bottle of their original sauce when I was there last month. Thanks for the recipe. I'll have to give them a try.

It’s from his book.  I’ll take a pic and share it the next time I’m home.

APL has a recipe for British Kingdom baked beans (with bacon) that’s different and really good.  Worth tracking down.

Yum! Don’t discount the brisket though. I made a batch of beans using burnt ends for the protein and it was out of this world. The smoky beef and the sweet beans played well together.
