Shepherds Pie

Continuing to cook for the week, today made some Shepherds Pie, always good winter food.

As with my Lasagna post from yesterdays cook, I smoked the hamburger.



Fried up some onions, carrots, corn and pees.



Pan filled up and waiting for some gravy and the potatoes



Cooking away to get it all together.



It was great!   Lots of leftovers for the week.   Next week ... chicken!

Served here with home made green bean pickles from last summer.

My local Irish pub (MacCool's) closed, and the next closest one (20 mile south) just re-did their menu, so I may have to learn to cook this myself.  
(I will pass on the peas, but that's me)

@EggNorth That looks so good!!! Norah Grace made this the other day for the first time and I have to say it is now my favorite comfort food.  Seeing your post and @nolaegghead photos I’m now officially craving shepherds pie.

@ryantt  - Wow than sure is fancy, I just slap the potatoes on .. need to work on my presentation now 

@nolaegghead - that sure looks great , never heard of using custard on there ... need to investigate that a bit more.
