Gender Reveal via BGE ??

Has anyone ever attempted this? I do not want to risk harm to my egg by inadvertently polluting the ceramic. I thought it would be pretty cool however to get a good burn going and didn't know if something existed which could be tossed onto the hot coal which would within 5 minutes or so emit a nice pink/blue smoke from the egg.... just come a roaring out of there like a big diesel "rolling coal" down a country road!
Any one have any ideas I would greatly appreciate your feedback!!!!
Thanks,
Brad

*There would be no food on there at this time and if needed a clean burn would be done to clear potential residue from egg*
Thanks,

Given all the identities in use now I believe at least six colors are needed. I do not know what the additional colors are, nor how to achieve any of them, including pink/blue.I am curious however, why do you want to do this? Can you not just use 4th of July smoke bombs outside the egg?LBGE, LBGE-PTR, 22" Weber, Coleman 413GGreat Plains, USA

I think doing this puts too many unfair expectations on a baby.Love you bro!

Didn’t @northGAcock have something like this?--------------------------------------------------
Burning lump in Downingtown, PA or diesel in Cape May, NJ.

Hahaa!!!! Well we're traditional so were keeping with the pink or blue. We love to smoke on our Egg so we thought it would be fitting to attempt our gender reveal... Nothing but high expectations for my family! I may look into some smoke bomb options and just place it on the grate and go about it that way.

My son in law did this for the reveal of our first grandchild. In his case, he had only blue and pink. What are you looking for? The product he used? Also, it left some residue (non-toxic) that burned off when I next used my egg.

This is absolutely perfect! We're going to host a small reveal for our immediate family and this is exactly what we're looking for! My fiance and I are finding out ahead of time, just us, this evening. Can you please let me know what the product is and where it can be purchased? This is perfect!!!
Thank you!

I was thinking hotdogs and buns. Showcase which ever makes the most sense first, then jam those weenies in the buns and chow down.South of Nashville - BGE XL - Alfresco 42" ALXE - Alfresco Versa Burner - Sunbeam Microwave

You could do it with smoke bombs with the help of a neighbor. Keep it out of the egg and just have a couple of the right color smoke bombs coming through the fence. I think that would be a cool effect.

I just found out how much braces cost today. Whatever color comes out, it's more important to pray for good teeth.

Just don’t get too crafty...
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/28/us/gender-reveal-party-death.htmlWhen did these gender reveal parties become a thing? I assume if you put a graph of their popularity over a graph of social media there’d be a correlation. -
I wonder what would happen if the new parents-to-be just said "hey dude, we are having a boy/girl". I bet that would work.Lenoir, N.C.

Guess I wasn’t far off from these things being a product of people’s need for social media attention. -

Piney - I remember those old times days when people used to just do zany things like say 'it's a boy'.
Man, we were young, wild and free back then.
