Clams!

Spatched a chicken for today’s smoked buffalo chicken dip and, since the fire was running just about perfect, I ran to the store for 3 dozen clams. Simple prep:  shallots, onions (not sure why I used both), bell peppers (no green bc SWMBO doesn’t like), evoo, parsley, garlic, and white wine. Covered and egg’d til they opened up — about a 1/2 hour at 400 or so. Served with grilled garlic buttered sourdough. So. Freaking. Good.

And here’s the chicken that made it all possible. Just an easy spatch job.

Also gonna make some andouille-in-blankets for the game.

Have a great Super Bowl, everyone!

That is definitely taking advantage of the window of opportunity.  Great audible with the clams.  Congrats.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

If SWMBO wasn't allergic to shellfish, I'd make these.  Looks good, and when I have them at a restaurant, I always like them.
I like my butt rubbed and my pork pulled.

Don’t mess with a shellfish allergy — CSI is totally hip to that.  Clams and grilled bread rock, but not worth the time in the slammer.
