Dude, sometimes it’s scary how much we think alike. I made this Monday.

This was right before the cabbage. Yours looks better though. I need to get me a magic diamond plate.
Nice cook my friend. Juan Quixote Valdez or whoever (@SGH) would approve.

My wife cooks something similar, but she calls it a soup.  Add mushrooms, diced tomatoes, shrimp, or hamburger as a second meat and onions.  The tomatoes cook down for her soupy moisture.  I love it.

  • Man!  We had that all the time growing up.  Your cook brings back some memories.

Tasty.  I'd even toss some sauerkraut in there.

My grandmother used to make this and would use any smoked sausage, cabbage and tomatoes she had canned.
First just brown the sausage and remove. She would use bacon fat to fry the cabbage(I used butter).  Once cabbage was nice and soft the sausage goes back in along with tomatoes. I threw in some Cajun seasonings at this point.  Eat and enjoy.
