OT For Blackstone owners....
I'm looking at pulling the trigger on one on amazon unless another, better deals shows up. Do you recommend the accessory tool kit, or is that a waste?
TIA

100 % worth it. It’s good quality stuff!
-
The spatulas from the tool kit are great 👍🏻Suffolk,VA .XLBGE ,Blackstone griddle.
-
For $20 it’s stuff you will use.
Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Yep worth the $20. I got my BS a couple weeks ago and you need this
-
Wishing I had it last night! Been looking at it but I have a spatula, 'scraper' and oil in a bottle but I took mine to a friends and it would have been easy to put oil in one and soy sauce in the other. Made lobster fried rice. Having 2 spatulas would have made it easier. Scraper for clean up.
It's $20, may as well!XL aka Senior, Mini Max aka Junior, Weber Q's, Blackstone 22, Lion built in, RecTec Mini 300, Lodge Hibachi, Uuni, wife says I have too many grills,,,,how many shoes do you have?

@Tspud1 are you still doing the covers for them as well? Is that grease cup yours too?

Do it. All of it. Accessories, cover from @Tspud1, and the grease cup. I regularly spend $20-100 on dumber stuff every week...

If you live somewhere near a food service supply store go get stuff there. You can get better quality stuff for less.

No advice about accessories that you haven't already been told...but here's my advice which I wish I would have heard before I bought my BlackStone years ago. Don't place it near your home ANYWHERE close to siding, brick, screen or even glass. You'll be surprised just how much grease is splattered using it! I'm not suggesting it is a fire hazard, just a huge grease splattering cooking unit! No wonder the restrauants you see using those huge griddles have those powerful down drafting vents!
-
Agree agree fully with @RRP. It’s a grease generator. I only use mine in the shop, but lay down cardboard when cooking to keep grease off the concrete!

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
Status- Standing by.

Thanks @rrp. Mine will be out on a paver patio. I'll need to figure that out. Appreciate it.

Mercer Hell's Handles Grill Spatula - Heat Resistant 14.25" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007WOSEYQ/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_vO-4DbFGP7J9X
That's one I have. I bought the set you are referring to, but thought the spatulas were a little flimsy. I still use them, but the one I posted is my go to. -
I wish they made those disposable foil liners for the side grease cup models

Mine is just that small 28" one, but I bought a package of tiny foil disposable baking pans and with 3 minutes work bent one so it would fit my grease cup spot. Reason is we are often time visited by coons at night and I have to be sure no grease is left for them to dump out and smear all over my deck!
-
The spatulas and bottles in the accessory kit are a must have.
I also suggest getting the smash burger press and spatula from walmart. The spatula from the burger kit is great for fried eggs.____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli -

drink beer. Take the top off with a can opener. Jimmy it between the drain spout and tray. Drink another beer (or more). You’re welcome!#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
FWIW the 36" in on sale at Walmart for $247. I think that's a pretty good price.

i sharpened one of these with a knife edge, use it for smashing burgers, chopping taco meat, scraping the grill clean etc. a little overkill as a spatula but it gets used alot.
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Seasoning today and did a pancake cook. I just noticed some condensation from the bottom of a propane tank that I haven’t used in a great long while. Is this anything to be worried about?
