Better than Chicken & Waffles

Not my first post. Had to change my name because of the password whatever.

I'm a single Dad. I have my sons, 14 & 17 now, every other week. They are with their Mom for Thanksgiving this year for the first time since our divorce in 2011. They, being Eggheads themselves, asked for turkey on the egg anyway. Who am I to say no to that?? This was my take on a 'chicken & waffles' inspired meal for our "Thanksgiving" dinner last night. The pics are sucky but the food was outstanding!!

Dry brined and cooked an eight pound breast only turkey over some Rockwood and cherry at about 425 to an IT of 160.

Just some StoveTop Stuffing, one box of turkey, one of chicken, and an egg cooked all crispy like in the waffle maker.

Made gravy with a butter/bacon fat roux, chicken stock and Mad Max seasoning from Dizzy Pig.

The cranberry sauce is from a can.

This was absolutely delicious! I'll make it again but step it up next time. Thanks for looking!!

I abhor chicken and waffles, but making the waffles with stuffing mix, and using gravy instead of syrup, Winner Winner!
Thanks for posting this, @dharley!  I may be changing my TG plans...

I’ve been back twice thinking about dressing cooked in a waffle iron...

It’s awesome. Works with leftover dressing as well. Just slam it in there and let it get crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside
