I Googled Shirley Fabrication and I noticed a picture of Thatgrimguy pit as their main photo for their website. I wasn't sure if Thatgrimguy knew this or not so I mentioned it his Ebike post that he started a few days ago.

Thatgrimguy deserves way more than this post. He's raised 56K FOR CHARITY!!! That's mind boggling and deserves the up most credit for it. I didn't want this to be hidden under the Ebike post. You truly are an inspiration to be a better person. We all can probably be a little better at helping others big or small. Thank you for all the hard work Thatgrimguy!

I totally agree Scott is an awesome guy, I first had the privilege of meeting him at the first Butt Blast. Scott and Carey hauled the pit up and cooked some of the most awesome meat I have ever tasted..Scott is a man amongst men for sure. Thanks for all you do Scott.

Phenomenal. I look forward to doing something on a much lower level with my kids. 

We (a church group that I’m involved in) donate 1,600 thanksgiving meals every year, but I was thinking about smoking some pork shoulder and serving it to those in need this year too - starting a new tradition with my family.

I don't know about a legend. Plenty of guys on here do far more than me!!!  I've just come up with a program to help teach charitys how to fundraise and give them the tools to do one. I work with community partners to provide the buns, sauce, meat, side, drinks and marketing materials and have the charity sell tickets and collect the money. They keep every dollar they collect.  They either sell 10-20 tickets and I throw a couple butts on my egg or they sell 2--300 and we load up the grocery cart and cook all night.

By doing tickets we know how much meat to buy.   As an added bonus we take all the leftovers after the event to the local fire houses, police dispatch and/or community center.
