OT - newbie brisket on the Traeger, more than decent

I've never done a brisket start to finish on the Traeger, just don't have the confidence to think outside of the egg Well, that may change on my next brisket cook. Why?
Helped my SIL score a used basic Traeger less than a week ago. After a couple of chicken and salmon cooks he jumped in with both feet on a full packer brisket challenge! I was worried.
Quick summary of his cook... simple Dalmation with garlic powder rub, no injection, no juice/broth, no mist, 225 till IT 160, wrapped in butcher paper and cranked temp to 350 (due to time crunch since he started the cook the day of), pulled at IT 204. To say I was embarrassed is an understatement, it turned out better than any brisket I've cooked on the egg hands down, granted he was calling me every half hour, lol Couple of quick cell phone pix ...

Looks great. Nobody ever said a pellet cooker can’t pump out a great brisket. They definitely can - especially when someone is guided by all the useful stuff that can be learned here.

Great cook and outcome right there. However, you get there is what matters. Nailed it. Congrats.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
