OT - Summertime Maryland Feast

Our summer with the princess ends tomorrow (sadly), so I wanted a simple but special final dinner.  Here, nothing says “summer” like steamed crabs, local corn and tomatoes.  These were some great, heavy crabs, and the corn might have been the best I’ve ever had - locally, the combination of heat and rain has resulted in a wonderful corn crop.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, sending the daughter off with some reminders of home - daddy’s meatballs and sauce.   She knows she’s loved.
