Today is World Bratwurst Day!!

And also National Bratwurst Day. Wasn't sure what I was going to cook today until that popped up on my TimeHop. Pulled some home made ones out of the freezer for later today. Gonna stop on the way home and grab some German beers. Who else is gonna cook brats today and what do you like to cook with your brats?

Thanks @Griffin for the heads up. I’m stopping at the meat market for Usinger brats and sausages. Sides of German potato salad, sauerkraut and apple strudel for dessert. We just tapped a keg of Berghoff Dunkle...Prost!

I had no idea! I've got some fresh pork casings arriving today & planned to make a batch of homemade bratwursts tonight. Exciting!!!

Stopped over my buddies after work for a Balvenie and he said he was putting on Brats do I want some...he had no idea it was National Bratwurst day until I showed him this thread. He will have an egg one day.
