Cracked Fire Box & Ring

After a busy summer of low and slow smokes and extra hot pizzas, I have cracks on both the fire box and the fire ring. Is that common? I’m in Florida where there’s a lot of humidity. Not sure if that was a factor.

They all crack eventually. I’ve replaced mine twice now in my xl egg.  Go to your dealer with photos in hand they will get you taken care of

You can still get many years on a cracked fire ring and firebox. If it bothers you too much, the warranty can ease the pain.

My fire box has been cracked for a couple years.  As long as it's not crumbling, it hasn't been a priority to deal with...and I've been kind of worried about being given a hard time since my LBGE is an old dealer demo egg, not registered, and the dealer I bought it from went out of business years ago.  I still do have a receipt if it comes to that.

I'll echo what the others have. It happens. Both have been cracked in one of the larges for a year or so. When it finally crumbles I'll replace them

Yup, same here. Both have been cracked for a few years. Have new ones from warranty in the garage now for two years but ain't replacing them till they start falling apart.
