Defrost time for a 15lbs packer brisket?

I hadn't seen Costco carry brisket in Canada for a long time so when they showed up one day at a price way below what we had no alternative to pay I stocked up. One we cooked almost right away, the other went into the freezer for a rainy day which feels like this coming Sunday
I like to trim and salt and leave in the fridge uncovered at least 24 hours before cooking so my question is how long will a frozen solid vacuum packed brisket take to unthaw in the refrigerator? Debating putting it in today vs. tomorrow based on the work back schedule with salt and trim time etc.

Depends on how cold your freezer is but I would start the fridge defrost today. It likely won't be completely thawed til sometime Friday at the earliest. Better to be thawed and ready to go then not. FWIW-

Ok good to know, pulled it from the freezer now so that its trim ready either Thursday or Friday for salt ahead of Sunday's cook. Much appreciated alllkapigian said:and they cook fine partially frozen as well
