First post, month or so lurker. My pizza stone just shattered and coincidentally I’m on the verge of getting either a ps woo or adjustable rig. My question is since I already have a plate setter can I just use that as my pizza stone and just use the adjustable rig and it’s oval stone as heat deflector or does the plate setter not work well with it as a pizza stone. Thanks in advance.

If you want to keep your platesetter then get the PS WOO. The PS stands for “platesetter” woo if I understand correctly. The AR is not meant to use with a platesetter in most eggs.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Thanks for the reply. I have a large egg also. Meant to include that.

As above by @The Cen-Tex Smoker I have a platesetter and the PSWOO with extender and D ring. I would try and link the whole package but the CGS web site is too hard to handle. Neither. I have the Adjustable Rig but I always use the Standard Woo with handles (not PSWoo) with a 16” round stone. I just like the simplicity. I dislike the plate setter. Too many burned edges. https://ceramicgrillstore.com/pages/woo-rings-standard-styles-for-ceramic-kamado-grillsHilton Head, SC- XL Big Green Egg w/Modular Nest

What kind of pizza stone did you have? My BGE pizza stone gets used a lot and is going strong.I made my own raised grid setup for a total of 24bucks from my local hardware store.NC - LBGE

I just got the pswoo and the extender with the d ring for Father’s Day. I’ve already used it on multiple cooks and love them both. Wish I had gotten them earlier.

Thanks for all the replies. Still trying to figure out if I get the AR if it’s possible or ideal to just use the current plate setter I have now and use as a pizza stone. Essentially I would lace it on the cooking grid legs down and have it elevated and put the pizza on the PS.

My original pizza stone was a cheap thin one. My local BGE dealer didn’t have any BGE ones in stock and nowhere had any thick high quality ones and I was wanting to cook that day. So ends up getting a cheap one knowing it probably shatters soon. I think I cooked about 7-8 pizzas on it before it broke.
