How long can you keep frozen ribs?

I have had some baby back ribs in my freezer for almost a year now.  My question is, are they still good?  Can I defrost them , smoke them and eat them?  Thanks.

If still in the cryovac you are in great shape, so have at 'em.  If not cryovaed (sp?) give 'em a go as health-wise and continuously frozen no issues.  Now if you had a few freeze thaw cycles (loss of power) then it would depend on the duration of the outage.  FWIW-

They have never been frozen and then thawed. They have stayed frozen the entire time
  • Like the question about how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop, ribs never stay in my freezer that long.  How long do they last in the freezer?

Like @lousubcap says, in a cryovac package they are good for many years.  If not, they can get some freezer burn, but they're still safe - they just may not be very good.

Did an SRF black brisket this weekend that was in a good freezer a year and a half.  It was fine.  Ribs should be no different so long as there’s been no freeze-thaw going on.

Smoke ‘em if you’ve got ‘em. They’ll be fine.

You’re good, I stock up when on sale and they last several months in the deep freezer (cryovac) with no issues.
