Got my wife the ninja for her birthday and she loves it.

Wife has and USES a Nutribullet Rx. this is the top line product with a 1700 watt motor.
It'll even heat up stuff so you can make soup......neat.
I have my shakes 3x or 4x weekly and No Problem. This has NO BPAs and all stainless blades. I see it for about 150$ I've even made ready-to-eat soup in this thing.

Yeah, but can they make bourbon slushies?

Love my blendtec. I think its 6 years old or so. The counter is currently at 4,040 blends. The thing just works awesome. I would assume the vitamix is pretty stellar based on what Ive read too.

SWMBO does smoothies close to every day in our Blendtec - still running like new many years later. We’ve got the “wild side” container which is intended to keep the contents moving - I don’t have anything to compare it against, but it works very well

Had a Ninja and now a Blendtec. The Blendtec makes waaay better smoothies and frozen drinks. The Ninja does a pretty lousy job crushing ice.

In my weekly Lidl sales circular which arrived today I noticed this gem:
Might make decent smoothies. Might be total crap. Might be just the ticket for an 11 year old to play with and see how serious they are about boarding the smoothie train. At that price seems worth a shot.

I got my wife the Ninja smoothie blender. It seems to work great but it is loud. It sounds like a chainsaw in the kitchen.
They have this one at Sam's club now:
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -

Plus one on the Ninja. Paid less than $40 for it and does a great job. Frozen fruit, some juice and you are ready to go.

Vitamix on sale at Sam's for $269 on Saturday only. It's the smaller one.

Went to Costco for the Blentec which was on sale for $200. Walked past a Vitamix demo and the guy said, "sir, did you see that they only warranty their machines for 1 year now?" I hadn't, and there it was on the box. He made me a banana avocado smoothie. I left, at his request, the Blendtec box on the demo table and walked away with the Vitamix for $279 (regular price $tree-fiddy). I am in no way trashing Blendtec, but I'm a sucker for an 8 year warranty for $70 more vs. 2 years (Costco card adds a year).
Thank you all for your advice!!

One year warranty on Blendtec??Also keep in mind that if you bought one from Costco, seven years after purchase if you decide you don't like it or it is no longer working to your satisfaction you can just return it for a refund and get a new one.Either way tho they are both fine pieces of gear.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. I know, but I saw it on the box, printed in the lower left corner in the back of the box. Like I said, it was done until I saw that.

After years with various cheap blenders I didn’t realize how crappy they all were until I got a vitamix. I have the same one you just picked up. Love it.
