OT - Tampa Bay - Bachelor Party

Good Afternoon,

Heading down to Tampa Bay in a couple of weeks for my brother's bachelor party. We are looking to eat and drink good as well as possibly go tarpon fishing.

Any recommendation?

Anything I am missing?

Check out Bern’s Steak House. Pricey but truly special.

And go upstairs after the entree for dessert!

Edit- been a while but we took a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar. Was worthwhile.

  • Bern's is awesome, but you may not be able to get a reservation there if it's only a few weeks out. You can, however, eat in the bar off of their bar menu.

What area are you staying? I can help further when I know what area you are going to be in.

One step down from Berns, Charlie's Steak House is very good, wood fired steaks. Mons Venus is a short uber ride away....

Welcome, you guys are going to have a lot of fun.

As others have mentioned, Bern’s is a Tampa staple for a nice night out. You can actually get a great steak (sides included) for under $50. And the dessert room is a must afterwards. If you’re staying in that neck of the woods (South Tampa) there’s another great restaurant called Datz which is more reasonably priced. If you venture out to the SOHO area there’s a plethora of bars/club types. My favorite being Macdentons, but there about a dozen others within walking distance.

The closer you get to downtown, we have several new areas like Armature works and Sparkman wharf which have an upscale food court/bar vibe.

You’ll definitely want to stop by Ybor city, grab some cigars and hit the bars/restaurants out there. Berninis is an Italian restaurant that has half off entrees and pastas from 4-7 every day. One of my favorites down there. Ybor also has several breweries like Coppertail and Tampa Bay Brew Company (also a great place to eat).

Other breweries Cigar City, Angry Chair, 7venth Sun, Hidden Springs, are all a short Uber ride from each other and have great beer.

Depending on the area you’re staying, I can give some nearby recommendations as well.

Oh and Mons/Space Odyssey are right across the street from one another. (Also short walking distance from Cigar City).

    Have fun!

+1 for Armiture Works. If you are staying in downtown Tampa there is a water taxi with 15 stops around the Hillsbourough river, and Armiture works is one of them. Steelbach there is great!

I recently went on the Brew Bus tour around the Seminole Heights area ( for my Bday) and it was a great time....

Even though it's been a few years since your post, I hope your brother's bachelor party in Tampa Bay turned out fantastic! For my cousin's Charlotte bachelorette party, we had a blast exploring local eats and drinks. It's always great to find those hidden gems recommended by locals or online guides. If you're still looking for recommendations, waterfront spots in Tampa Bay are perfect for both dining and enjoying the scenery. And for tarpon fishing, local charter companies usually have the best tips and availability.

You have an interesting profile here.  It’s uncanny how nearly every one of your posts contains a link to an external website where people can purchase things.
