Have a spare Ceramic Damper Top lying around?

Finally dropped and smashed my original L BGE damper top.

I know there are things I can use as a substitute, like my Smokeware cap, but I like the way these work and look.

With so many of you moving on to other solutions or products, I thought someone must have one of these lying around they want to let go. I'd be happy to pay you for it.

Mine broke about 3 months ago. I haven't replaced it. Dealer told me it was about $30 bucks or so to replace.

FWIW it looks like you have some options on Amazon. I've broken one of two of mine. So easy to do.

I chipped mine. I had a spray can of John Deere Green laying around.

It now has a unique two tone green appearance.

Thanks for the heads up on Amazon. Mine broke 3-4 years ago. The most action my DFMT sees is snuffing out a fire. It might get lonely if I buy a real ceramic cap.

It doesn’t match but I’ve been using a stainless steel bowl. I think it was a dog food bowl in another life. It fits tighter than my ceramic top ever did!

Let me know how it is. I did see that one pop up and it was unclear who manufactured it so I did not know how it would fit/match the egg. I think he also gave a really rude answer in the Q&A to someone's question on this, which also steered me away from him.

In my case a very generous egghead sent me a replacement so I'm good!
