I've had no smoke leak on my PK360.  It dials in and holds 250 like magic with a quick and easy vent setting.

Yes sir. Just got the tracking number it will be here Thursday. Probably gonna take it to work and cook some burgers if it’s not raining Friday. I was going to wait and try to find a used one but that package made it a no brained with the cover, charcoal basket, and littlemore grid. Plus free shipping and no tax I couldn’t resist.

So what’s the allure of this thing? What will it so that your other new cooker won’t do?

Nice @lit and congratulations.  I’ve never used one of those, but always found them intriguing.  I look forward to pics of cooks.

Probably nothing. It looks interesting and has really good reviews everywhere. Plus it unscrews from the base easily to make it portable so that’s pretty cool. Will be my camping grill.

I could see it being more useful than a minimax.

I just watched a guy on YouTube do a 15lb turkey and another guy did 2 racks of ribs on an original which is smaller than the 360 so it’s a fairly good sized grill.

Two easily separable pieces lessen the burden tho.

Yes but it’s 1 hand twist screw knob to separate the base and grill and the base is atleast half the weight. If you ever make it to Atlanta grill company again they have them. They also have Rockwood 2 bags for $40.

Thanks for posting that, I hadn't heard of this grill before.  Some observations:

    1.  Finally, a bonafide use for my IR thermometer!
    2.  I like how the square drip pan fits into it, vs. a kettle or the Egg.
    3.  Removing the lid completely would work nicely for wokking.
    4.  I'd "set-n-forget" the bottom vents at the beginning of a cook, and use the top vents only for temp control.  Bet that thick aluminum at the bottom gets hot, and looks like you could burn your wrist on the body even while wearing gloves while adjusting the bottom vents.
    5.  And I'm amazed at the size of the air vents!  To get 250º, he had one bottom vent fully open, and the opposite top vent also fully open, to what looked like 2 square inches each; to get 250º on my Large, the bottom vent is open maybe a 1/16"!!  Either briquettes and lump burn much differently, or the insulating ability of ceramic vs. aluminum makes that big of a difference (or both?).  @Lit, will you be using briquettes or lump?
    6.  Even with the grates out, looks kinda fiddly to clean out the ash, whether you scrape it through the bottom vents or tip the whole thing over.

Anxious to hear how it works.   :)

The one in that video is the original. The 360 I got has some upgrades that fix a couple of the issues you mentioned. There is a hole in the bottom back that you can open to sweep ash out. Also the venting is way different it has 3 holes on each side in a pipe and the pipes stick out the front and when you twist them the holes rotate to open air holes. Hard to explain but if you youtube PK 360 there’s lots of videos. It doesn’t look big in pictures but it has 40% more grate area than a large egg for comparison. My delivery got pushed back to Friday but I will post plenty of cooks and thoughts for sure. Took Monday off to do a low and slow on it not sure what’s up yet might break it in with a  brisket.

So I’m guessing the top part is in the 50lb range with grates but the top just sits on there no screws you can just lift it off. The top probably weight 15 lbs and the bottom probably 35lb range. It’s more portable than the mini and has 40% more grate space than the large. This thing has a really cool design.

How do you like the Original? I agree the 360 is over priced but I don’t think I would have gotten one if the original was the only choice. Didn’t seem like a good design with the slides under a hot grill. The deal they have on their website right now with multiple accessories and free shipping and I didn’t get charged tax made it atleast more in the range it should be price wise. I’m loving the 360 so far.

I like it alot...I just use it to grill.  No smoking so, I don't really mess with the vents that much.

The 360 looked cool as hell...just didn't see myself paying the sticker for it

Why? There’s nothing the PK can do that the XL won’t. Mobility is the only difference. The PK size is cut in half at a minimum if you’re doing two zone “indirect”. Also, you’re trading a lifetime warranty for a ten year warranty.
