Broken Conveggtor

So I decided to Spring clean my XL egg today... Got it all hot and baked out. My very first cook I look inside (pork belly) and there is it.  Cracked in half.   Came apart when I tried to remove it.  Anyone had luck with a warranty replacement? I get the firebox swapped out but never tried this...

I think conveggtor has 3 year warranty if you bought from a dealer. all the other ceramics are lifetime

Warranty claim.  Consider upgrading to woo and stone at ceramic grill store.

Don't throw it away!!  Cut the legs off and you'll have two really nice half stones.
Maybe that's what I'll do to the one I got with my medium BGE. I've since changed over to the CGS woo ring and the conveggtor is sitting unused. I'm not sure about splitting it in half, but cutting off the legs to make it a more 'standard' stone would work. Doubt anyone in my area has a medium BGE that doesn't already have this, or a woo ring already.

  • Thanks everyone!! I'll give warranty a go and I've been pondering the adjustable rig at CGS since it's a drivable distance from me. 3 tiers for pork belly could do me good!
