Do you all have any recommendations for a North Carolina vinegar based sauce you can buy online?

Kings bbq in Kinston NC is one of my lifelong faves. Rodney Scott’s is my new fave, but they don’t sell sauce online.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

George's regular from Food Lion for $11.00 a gallon. Way better than average and we dress it up a bit at times.
I drink cheap beer so I can afford good bourbon.

Thanks guys for the quick suggestions!!
  • This stuff is great - Charlie Mills Famous Bar-B-Que Sauce Mix.  It is a powder mix, you mix it with a jug of apple cider vinegar.  I get it occasionally at the Piggly Wiggly when down east.  Has a bit more heat than the average Eastern NC sauce.

I have to agree highly with this. My wife’s N.C. family uses this....and only this. Good stuff.

This is a Lexington style sauce. It is chosen by our guests at a 5-1 margin over anything else we put out. Easy and dirt cheap to make. It’s excellent on yardbird too.

Assume you're wanting eastern that vinegar mostly?  Lexington has a good amount of vinegar too.
