One of the few forum "gotta haves" I steered clear of.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

ha ha. I updated to the Joule so now I have 3 SV cookers. Gave my Sous Vide Supreme to #1 son and his room mates and don't need 2 immersion circulators. I have used my SV cookers almost every week for 5 years. I use it almost as much as my BGE.

  • That’s a crazy amount of use. I just got a joule for Xmas today, I look forward to breaking it in.

Hope you get as much use out of it as we have. I love my new Joule. I held in tonthe Anova so long because I though having to have a separate device to run a Sous Vide was dumb. I was wrong- it’s pretty cool and by taking the screen and all those electronics of the stick, it reduces the size by half compared to my Anova.

SV- is a workhorse cooker in our house. We make chicken breast ahead for the week almost every week. We bribe them, hard sear them on the egg and Sous Vide finish. Then we can take those and make anything we want. Tacos one night, stir fry the next, chicken salad, and more. We do fancy cooks from time to time but it’s an every day appliance around here.
