Welcome aboard!
At the 1:26 mark, notice the rubber caps on the nest arms? Remove them!
Why? down the road if/when you have to lift the egg out, the melted rubber can hold on and tear chunks of ceramics.canuckland -
This is the most common error we encounter with Eggs we do not assemble. The bolts will noticeably bend. If the do not bent, they arentPhoto Egg said:And really crank/tighten the 2 main band bolts in the back. They will bend slightly if you do it right.
tight enough.
Also, do not push the bands into the ceramics any further than the edge of the ceramics. It is human nature to want to push them onto the “haunch” a bit, but the edge of the bands will pretty much line up with the transition between the gasket and the ceramics. No further really.
Other than that, follow the directions. -

Stand back and look at the alignment. Make sure the bottom vent is centered in between the legs of the nest and the handle lines up with the lower vent.XLBGE, LBGE, MBGE, SMALL, MINI, 2 Kubs, Fire Magic Gasser

Nothing for putting it together, but after you have done a few cooks, recheck those bands. Then recheck every 6 or so months.
