stuffing can get very bitter when smoked. little stevens recipe works well, gives it more of a cooked in the bird flavor and texture but i would cook it in the oven

In our family we call that dressing. Stuffing goes in the bird.Michiana, South of the border.

I don't like it on the egg......with all the butter, it gets kind of bitter. I make it in the oven, then might throw it on the egg (covered in foil) just to keep warm.

I do extras stuffing (dressing) on the egg every time we do a turkey. We actually prefer to do the turkey in the oven, which is fine because I always do a ham as well on the egg. I cover the stuffing and we have never found it to be smoky or bitter, I do not add any wood or chips.
